Established in 2001, Bushel Basket Candle Co. is dedicated to providing our candle customers, retail and wholesale, with the best candle fragrance experience possible. And while every candle company says that, we truly mean what we say.
When our candle company began, Jackie & Les were not your average scented candle users, in fact, they didn't purchase or burn scented candles. But one thing they knew was that if a candle said Buttercream Frosting, we expect it to really smell like Buttercream Frosting. And if the candle says Strawberry Shortcake, then you better be able to close your eyes and imagine taking a bite of the best treat of the summer, with strawberries freshly picked from the garden, and shortcake just out of the oven!
So when choosing candle oils for this new endeavor, candle fragrance oils had to smell amazing to be selected! And we have never strayed from that formula. Strong and true, each candle fragrance selected for our line of products must be consistent, amazing, and memorable!

Our company philosophy is built around those 4 little words.
Our candle production is centered around hand pouring each and every scented candle and scented candle wax melting tart by hand. No machines, just raw human talent. Everyone that works at Bushel Basket Candle Co has a built in desire to do what they do well, with attention to the details, and making sure that the scented candle you receive is the best ever! And when the occasional defect occurs, we back it up 100%!
Community is important in our daily business life! We outsource to our local sheltered work shop, Self Help Enterprises. The wonderful people here put the wicks in our candles jars, and the labels on the jars, before they come to our shop to be filled with luscious smelling candle fragrances that will knock your socks off!
Fundraisers are another way we give back to our community! We partner with groups and schools that want a Candle Fundraiser Program that revolves around community! We offer a 50% split to our Fundraising Non-Profit groups, provide all the forms and materials needed at no cost to the group. And the group sells a variety of scented candles and scented wax melt tarts in 20 fragrances to the community. Self Help Enterprises puts the wicks in the jars! We create all the products here at our store with American Made materials, and the Group or School earns 50% selling our scented candles and other products. We also sort by Seller to make things even eaiser for the group to distribute their scented candles to their customers.
Do the Right Thing.... For the Environment. Every day, we look at our operations and make sure we are using our resources wisely. We work to source our supplies as close to home as possible, to reduce our transportation footprint. We re-use all packing materials that come in, to cut down on
ordering new ones. We recycle ALL of our unused cardboard with Self Help Enterprises. We make sure the heat is turned down to 60 at night, and in the summer, make sure the thermostat is around 80 at night for the air conditioning. We care about our environment, and try to make sure we do everything possible to protect it and reduce our carbon footprint. We recycle our white paper, and recycle all of our ink and toner cartidges! And the FUN part of protecting our environment? We will refill your empty candle jars! So clean them out, and bring them in. Or ship them to us! And partner with us to protect our environment one terrific smelling candle at a time!
